FOCUS/17 was both dynamic and energetic for Porta Romana.
We began celebrations with a preview brunch with House & Garden to officially launch our new collection Stillness. We gathered quite a crowd, with Designers coming from far and wide to glimpse our new lamps and furniture.
The showroom was bustling with enthusiasm to browse the new collection, as well as our glamorous new windows and re-imagined seating area designed by Martin Brudnizki. A wash of colour and pattern, and littered with Porta Romana pieces, new and old, this inviting space became quite the hot spot through-out the show.
Companions in material, The Duke, Sway and Ingot Lamps, all in polished brass, and topped with soft pink velvet or rich navy shades created quite a stir, whilst the characterful ceramics, with complex glazes and gathered velvet shades received much admiration. The jewel like colours of the Ball Table Lamps with new printed ‘Bina’ shades captivated an audience and the Rhythm chandelier perfectly poised above our showroom desk, ignited whisperings of delight.
During Press Day, our guest designers Martin Brudnizki & Nicholas Jeanes were on hand to answer questions about our collaboration; &Objects for Porta Romana whilst trade and retail days continued to fizz.
We would like to thank everyone who visited the showroom during FOCUS/17 and for making it such an enjoyable success.
