If you wish to see a particular piece, call us in advance and we will make sure it is there for your visit. Whilst we don’t have a showroom at our Head Office Farnham, Surrey we are very happy to arrange a meeting, by appointment.
You may feel that it’s important to view a piece in your home and see the detail and proportions before you commit to it, and it is often possible to organise to loan an item through your interior designer subject to a few T&C’s.
Our finish samples can be vital to the process of pulling your scheme together. We have samples of nearly every material and colour that we offer, across our whole range and if for any reason we don’t have the one you want, we will work out how we can best help you. Pricing is available through your interior designer, our London showroom, HQ and our representatives. If you are in touch with us for the first time we will need you to answer two simple questions to help direct your enquiry, which country are you residing in? and where is your project? (if different). The answers will make sure that you are in touch with the correct representative and that we provide prices based on the wiring and regulatory requirements for your region.

Porta Romana products are offered with two or three different finishes which are always considered carefully to make sure that the design and texture of a piece is perfectly complimented by its finish. With 45 different finishes in our full range there is also the opportunity to choose an alternative and we can help as you make your choice, but it shouldn’t be overwhelming, we find that our finishes are incredibly complimentary and can be used in combination to create a beautiful interior.
We are able to customise a lampshade in every different way, the size, the shape, the fabric, the lining, the fittings and diffusers.
Most of our furniture can be customised in respect to size as well as the finish and the top material. Guidelines are available for the scaling of each piece as you begin your specification, and later we will provide a drawing for your approval.
We are customising more and more ceiling lights in response to customers’ requests and when it comes to a ceiling light a very collaborative process is required with the skills of the interior designer working alongside our in-house technical experts. We have seen some exceptional results in recent years and we are always happy to share our experiences with you.
All orders destined for the UK and Europe are supplied with energy efficient LED lightbulbs. We provide our recommended size and wattage bulb which compliments the lamp and shade. The lightbulb that we recommend is often lower than the maximum wattage which you will find labelled on the inside of your lampshade or explained in some of our technical data. LED bulb types are developing very rapidly and becoming more useful in decorative lighting, we are happy to provide you with our latest information upon request.
Your order is for specialist made-to-order products and therefore the lead-times can vary. As a general rule Wall lights, Lampshades and Table lamps are usually available within 4-6 weeks, Chandeliers and Furniture available within 4-8 weeks , Call +44 (0) 1420 23005 or email for the latest information.
Yes, we offer a Quickship service which offers a selection of Table Lamps, Wall Lights with a recommended Lampshade, for despatch from our UK Head Office within 72 hours. The full range can be viewed here.
Delivery of your order will be either with one of our dedicated Porta Romana vehicles and team or with an overnight carrier, organised with you in advance. Packing of all pieces is to export standard irrespective of how far they are travelling with the aim to provide protection from even the most rigorous handling in transit.
A full white glove service including unpacking and placement can be quoted for.
