Urn Lamp

Oil | CLB33

The Urn adds a shape and scale to our ceramic collection. With this finish we’ve applied texture in the sculpting process; it’s been hammered, scraped and dented to achieve the feel and look of an aged Japanese pot. The Urn, especially in its Oil colourway, has a definite Wabi-Sabi feel to it. This aesthetic is one that celebrates beauty in imperfections and irregularity. Both characteristics we celebrate across all of the materials we use. The Urn shape provides the perfect vessel for some complex glazes to flow into each crevice and dimple resulting in something you see differently with every view. Available in Oil and Volcanic.

Natural architecture combined with patterns and structures borrowed from Nature are at the heart of the elemental collection. The perfect hexagons of a honeycomb; molten lava; flowing water; burnt wood and precious stones.

A spider’s web, an insect’s cocoon, a crystal and the cool clear blues of air and water meet the hot rust tones of earth and fire.
